Broadcom unveils AI-focused chip to connect smaller data centers
Broadcom has introduced its Jericho3-AI chip, a new router designed to link up clusters of smaller data centers over distances of more than 100 kilometers. The chip enables faster and more efficient data transfer between AI compute nodes, allowing distributed computing setups to perform closer to the levels of hyperscale facilities. This high-bandwidth, low-latency architecture addresses a key bottleneck for organizations that can’t centralize all their processing and storage power.
A major step toward democratizing access to powerful AI infrastructure beyond tech giants.
