YouTube to Let Creators Use AI Versions of Themselves in Shorts
YouTube will soon roll out a feature allowing creators to generate Shorts using AI versions of their own likeness. Announced in CEO Neal Mohan’s annual letter, the tool will give creators the ability to scale content production while maintaining personal branding. Additional AI-driven features, like script generation, are also in development as part of YouTube’s push into synthetic media tools. No specific launch date has been shared yet.
This move signals a major shift in how video content may be created and consumed, blending AI generation with creator identity to automate personalized media.
