Tesla completes design of AI5 chip, starts early work on AI6
Elon Musk has revealed that Tesla has nearly finalized the AI5 chip, which powers the company’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. The chip is the latest in Tesla’s custom in-house silicon designed to optimize AI performance for autonomous driving. Musk also confirmed that work on the next-generation AI6 chip has already begun, though he provided no timeline for production.
