OpenAI’s GPT-5 Is Coming to Apple Intelligence in iOS 26
Apple has confirmed that its ChatGPT integration within Apple Intelligence will support OpenAI’s new GPT-5 model starting with iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26. Currently, Apple Intelligence uses GPT-4o for features like enhancing Siri responses and interpreting visual content. GPT-5, released this week, brings improvements in reasoning and reliability and is now already available in ChatGPT for all users, including on the free tier.
The integration marks a major upgrade for Apple Intelligence, aligning its tools with the latest advancements in generative AI.
