Google launches Gemini’s new Guided Learning mode to compete with ChatGPT’s study tools
Google has introduced a new Guided Learning feature in its Gemini AI, designed to support students by offering interactive, step-by-step explanations rather than just providing direct answers. Eligible users in the U.S., Japan, Indonesia, Korea, and Brazil can now sign up for a free 12-month Gemini Advanced subscription through October 6. Guided Learning offers explanations with visuals, videos, and quizzes, developed in collaboration with educators and researchers.
This marks a major step in AI’s integration into education, shifting the focus from shortcutting learning to actively enhancing it.
