Nintendo Raises Switch Console Prices in U.S. Amid Tariff Pressures
Nintendo has increased prices for its original Switch models in the U.S. for the first time since launch. The base Switch now costs $339.99, up from $299.99, while the OLED model rises to $399.99 and the Lite to $229.99. The move follows similar adjustments in Canada and comes shortly after new U.S. tariffs on imports from Vietnam, Nintendo’s primary manufacturing base. Prices for the newer Switch 2 remain unchanged.
This marks a rare price hike in the gaming hardware market and could signal broader industry adjustments to global trade tensions.
