Reddit’s AI push pays off as Q2 revenue surges
Reddit reported strong Q2 earnings, highlighting significant gains from AI partnerships and advertising. Revenue rose 39% year-over-year to $312 million, driven by deals with OpenAI and Google for data licensing, as well as growth in performance marketing. The company saw a surge in active users and said Reddit Answers, its AI-powered search feature, grew sixfold since Q1. Reddit also emphasized its ambition to become a primary search destination on the internet.
This performance cements Reddit’s emergence as a key data provider for AI and signals a shift in its business model toward tech-driven monetization.
